Environment and Sustainability

Dear Leaders of the World.....

As COP15 (the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference) gets underway in Denmark, many people are thinking about the impact of the conference and how it might, just might, make a difference. Across the top of the COP15 website, a banner is constantly changing with messages from around the world. Each begins 'Dear Leaders of the World'....

You are the loudest voices of humanity, make us proud of the decisions you take and the voice we hear

Among many others, this stood out as a symbol of what the climate change conference is all about. Not individual leaders or nations, but humanity. Humanity goes hand in hand with environment - one cannot exist without the other.

In reflecting on the enviornment, it is perhaps important that we keep humanity at the fore front of our considerations. An environment which is sustainable and which is just for all is a goal of many across the world. What would you say in your letter ; Dear Leaders of the World.........? Let us know!

This is a chance to have a say, to make a point and to think about the future.
